Potential National Shortage of Sterilizing Wrap

Due to the ongoing effects of the pandemic it has become more difficult to access necessary supplies used in sterile reprocessing.

I am aware that many of you are having problems accessing adequate supply of sterilizing wrap from your regular suppliers and having to purchase from an alternate source.

I have had several phone calls and emails asking if the alternatively supplied wrap needs to validated before use.

The short answer is a resounding ‘YES” it does need to be validated.

You can do this yourself and document your outcomes. it does not have to be a chore.
