These opportunities are provided for people involved with reprocessing reusable medical devices in any health service organization. Health service organizations include but are not restricted to hospitals, private practice clinics, general practice clinics, dental, tattoo and skin piercing studios, beauty therapy clinics.
The NZSSA will be providing these opportunities to Association members at no cost (except NZSSA conference for which registration is reduced for members). This is in recognition of the member’s annual fee being returned to education. Non-members will be required to pay a nominal registration fee for the leaders meetings and regional seminar to aid in the covering of costs for their attendance. Non-members pay a premium registration for the NZSSA conference).
The following education opportunities organized and facilitated by the Association in 2020 are:
Leaders meetings
These meetings are targeted at the person leading reprocessing of medical devices at an operational and strategic level. There are many designations but if you have responsibility for running the service, coordinating or supporting staff then this meeting is for you. Each meeting will have a speaker or speakers presenting on a key topics and the remainder of the day will be focused on discussion on operational issues and networking.

NZSSA Annual Conference
The Association was formed in 1974 and made a commitment to each year bring together a trade exhibition and international and national presenters to bring the world of medical device processing to the members doorstep. The Annual General Meeting of the Association is also held during the conference. This means members have a great opportunity to have their input into the business of the Association while continuing their education.

Midland CSSD Regional Seminar
This seminar started in the Bay of Plenty. It has proved very popular and well supported by the Bay and surrounding regions so they are again running in 2020 (around a wee virus creating havoc this year)! The next meeting is on its way!
